I Published Two Books!
When I was younger, people used to make fun of what I used to call my “Alibi Book.” It was a book in which I wrote every single detail of my life. What time I woke up, what time I sat down in class, the time that I got on the school bus, how long I washed the dishes… everything. So if anyone ever questioned whether or not I did something, they knew they could just open my book and BOOM. There it was (or wasn’t).
Using a planner had always been a part of my life. But as I got older and life started to get out of control, I found myself not buying a new daily planner every year. Or I would buy one, but I would be too busy to write in it. I thought that I had outgrown using planners, but my therapist reminded me that I really need to get my life in order. I need to take better care of myself, and I need to put my tasks down in a place where I can see what needs to be done and what I have accomplished. And that’s pretty much the whole purpose of this beautiful planner that I created.
It’s a Self-Care Planner designed with the Christian woman in mind. That means that the daily Self-Care routine starts and ends with prayer. The monthly overview has a scripture that you should focus on memorizing, and the Self-Care Challenge includes writing down God’s latest blessings.
So yeah, it’s a book that I designed for myself. And it’s also a great tool for women like me who have the desire to get back on the right track physically (there’s a fitness log), mentally (the Therapy Notes will be fun to look back on), and spiritually (hello, daily reminder to crack open the Bible).
This is Planner 1 of 4. I broke them down into quarters so that the books wouldn’t be too hefty to carry around. Also, I don’t want to stress anyone out by feeling like she has to commit to a whole year of self care.
Now let’s talk about the Sermon Notes Journal. I cannot be the only one who has years worth of sermon notes sitting somewhere in a box, or lost in a tablet that no longer works. I started taking notes during church in high school when I realized I was falling asleep during the sermon. I used note-taking to keep myself awake, and then I kind of just couldn’t stop. I have sooo many years of notes in so many different places, but I never had a dedicated journal for it. And that’s why I created this journal.
It has a beautiful overview of the month so you can input all the church events. Every week, you have a good amount of space to write down notes from the sermon, and to journal about how you applied the sermon to your life. It’s literally my dream sermon notes journal.
What does “drinking from the saucer” mean? That’s a great question! And the answer can be found in the first couple pages of the book :)
I am so proud of these books and I truly believe that they will be a blessing to everyone who purchases them. I strongly recommend getting the hardcover versions of these books so that they will last longer. Store them in a safe place and treat them with love so you can always have them as keepsakes.
Enjoy!
